2013 Most Dangerous Cities in the World

Image

Latin America leads the league with the most dangerous cities for 2013.  Dropping completely off from the list this year are: Mosul, Iraq, Johannesburg, South Africa, and Panama, Panama.  I’m assuming this is due to security improvements, economic growth, and of course good old number fudging in certain cases.  Once again, Mexican and Brazilian cities plague the list.  The poll was conducted by Seguridad, Justicia and Paz, a Mexican firm.  Each year many bloggers question the validity of this poll due to the lack of Asian and African cities.  None the less, it points out that Latin America has some serious work to do in dealing with drug trafficking, security, policing, and judiciary evolution.
